Maturing Fargo Moorhead Framework

I figured, while I'm working on my paper and thesis I'd post this juicy tidbit about downtown Fargo-Moorhead and it's future. The above image is the area bound currently by the Fargo Library, Civic Center, City Hall and that massive parking lot right next to the river. Well obviously that's not a very good use of the land running along the river. It's prime real-estate for crying out loud. Good thing is, the FM-MetroCog (Council of Governments) introduced a framework plan of what should be the top priorities of the metropolitan leaders over the next couple of years. I think the above image speaks volumes of how serious our leaders are about taking our cities into the next century and defining the area as an extremely livable and lively place.
The entire study can be found here : FrameWork Plan
There is so many good ideas in that framework, I suggest you read it to see what's in store for our great cities!!! Until than, back to my work... :)

These are some awesome projects we're going to have in this city!! I just hope they can start with some of these really soon. Downtown is going to start really taking off soon, I can feel it!!
BTW, I'm closing my blog. I'm too busy lately. I'm sticking with discussions on SkyScraperPage.com. I just hope no Grand Forks people start invading the Midwest forum!!;)
I'm hoping they move forward full steam ahead with these projects as well. I too already notice, it's really starting to take off. Once NDSU opens the two buildings it just purchased downtown, I think the area will literally explode with places to eat, shop, study and chill, for the almost 4,000 students that will be going to class downtown everyday.
Don't worry about closing down the blog. It's tough to keep up with everything, and since we all do such an awesome job in SkyScraperPage.com forums, I think you've already got it covered :)
I stumbled across this blog by way of Grand Forks Life (not a link, but a Google search). I'm also interested in Fargo development, but I'm slightly saddened that Fargo doesn't have a blog comparable to the GFL blog. Your site is the closest thing to it.
Obviously you're pretty passionate about Fargo development. Why don't you update your blog more often?
I was thinking you could include the new Urban Plains Fargo development, and some other things that are happening around town.
Maybe I could help out in some way? I'll check back for your comment later. - wmz
Are we ever going to see any new posts about your ideas for future Fargo? :)
Thanks WebmasterZero and Brady for your comments. I was hoping to do more with this website. I just recently finished a Masters @ NDSU. So I'm transitioning into a FT position in the Metropolitan area. My priorities right now are actually to create a skyscraper/architectural database website that combines all the things that are great about Emporis, Skyscraperpage.com and SkyScraperCity but be open to all to post and add content. It'll be more than a Bulletin Board system and database. It'll hopefully be more interactive than those three combined. Is that a tall order for one person to develop? Sure... I've done similar before. After that I'm going to be back on this site and concentrating on a new NDSU Bison website.
There might be posts in the near future, depending on how busy I get. Just stay posted... I might also redo this website as well. If you're really aching for Fargo-Moorhead developments information. There's a thread at this location...

I frequent that one. ;)
