FM-2050 : A Future Vision of Fargo Moorhead

This is the first and leading blog on the future of the Fargo-Moorhead Metropolitan Area. I’m hoping this blog will inspire ideas on what we should build or plan for up to the year 2050. We’ll also occasionally cover regional news and even discuss the current state of North Dakota from time to time.

Maturing Fargo Moorhead Framework

I figured, while I'm working on my paper and thesis I'd post this juicy tidbit about downtown Fargo-Moorhead and it's future. The above image is the area bound currently by the Fargo Library, Civic Center, City Hall and that massive parking lot right next to the river. Well obviously that's not a very good use of the land running along the river. It's prime real-estate for crying out loud. Good thing is, the FM-MetroCog (Council of Governments) introduced a framework plan of what should be the top priorities of the metropolitan leaders over the next couple of years. I think the above image speaks volumes of how serious our leaders are about taking our cities into the next century and defining the area as an extremely livable and lively place.

The entire study can be found here : FrameWork Plan

There is so many good ideas in that framework, I suggest you read it to see what's in store for our great cities!!! Until than, back to my work... :)
